AKASHA’s Permaculture Learning Program

(Volunteer-Apprentice Program)

  • AKASHA has a serious Learning Program focused on technical aspects of permaculture through hands-on experience. We believe in what we do and would like to explore with you an alternative and beautiful way of living.
     

  • We would love you to help us spreading the seed of Permaculture. We would like you to have a memorable experience with us.
     

  • We want you to learn the basic of permaculture and to affirm the certainty that you are an important part of a sublime and abundant universe. There is also plenty of space for playing, creativity and reconnecting with nature. This is what makes us different.

As a volunteer you have access to the following:

  • Dorms

    • Comfortable shared rooms

    • Comfy single bunk beds

    • If you preferred, there are also plenty of space for you to set your tent or your hammock.
       

  • Food

    • Delicious vegetarian food, prepared by volunteers and directed by someone from the farm

    • We provide Breakfast, Lunch and light dinner
       

  • Yoga and Meditation Classes

  • Permaculture talks and workshops in English

  • Movie or bonfire nights

  • Small shop with discount on amazing organic coffee

  • Swimming river with private beach

  • Organized field trips and advice of all activities around the farm

    • Hiking, downhill, paragliding, rafting (level 3 and 4), caving, etc.

  • Ancestral medicine ceremonies and talks

    • Ayahuasca, mambe, sacred tabaco, etc.
       

  • Costs and Fees

    • COP$60.000/day (about USD$12/day)

  • Requirements

    • Work for 4-5 hours/day on the farm’s projects

    • Have a personal project within the farm

    • Good attitude and good sense of humor
